Monica and I used to work together way back when Tony Roma’s first opened in Bloomington, Illinois. Since then we have kept in touch via social media. Monica reached out wanting to set up a couple’s session. She and Mike had never had professional pictures done, and she just wanted to have some photos of them together.

One Saturday, while driving to another location during a wedding day, I got a call from Mike. Because I was in the middle of a wedding day, I didn’t answer. He left a message letting me know that he wanted to propose to Monica at their session that next week, and I was too excited to wait to call him back! I knew I had a few more minutes to drive, so I quickly called him back and we made a plan.

These two drove from Wisconsin for their session (and proposal), so it was so special to them and me! About 15 minutes into their session, Mike got down on one knee and Monica was totally blown away with surprise. She had no idea and wasn’t expecting it at all!

The rest of the session was so fun as we ventured around a beautiful woodsy location and then headed out to a country road to run around. 

Congrats, Mike and Monica! You two deserve the best!
