I met Emily a couple years ago when I started going to her to have my hair done. She’s a BOMB stylist at Textur Salon in Normal, Illinois (check her out at @emriverahair on Instagram!). We hit it off right away and, like most girls, we talked about everything under the sun when I was in her chair. 

When Emily asked me if I would take her and Kelby’s anniversary photos, I was stoked! Not only do I love her style, tattoos, and just overall personality, I was so excited to get to finally meet Kelby and their precious mastiff, Buster!

We met up at this beautiful property just outside Carlock, Illinois. We started out in tall grass fields and ended in the creek down the road. These two were a dream to shoot because they were literally up for whatever I asked of them and obviously are totally in love, so they made my job easy. 

Buster might look intimidating, but he’s a gentle giant and loved sniffing around while we shot their photos. He even got to jump in a few! Needless to say, I had a blast with these two and their photos are to die for!
