Add A Personal Touch: Intimate Weddings
Every couple has a different idea for their perfect wedding. Some opt for a dream wedding in a remote location, others prefer to have only the company of those closest to them, and some go for both!
There are a number of reasons to choose an intimate wedding, and as such, they, like destination weddings, hold a special place in my heart.
I’ve been apart of a number of intimate weddings, and I encourage you to take a look through my portfolio to see if my work fits what you're looking for.
Intimate Weddings Tips
Along this journey I’ve acquired some tips and pointers to make your special day go as smoothly as possible.
Some people look at intimate weddings as an opportunity to save money, which is certainly a potential benefit. Others see it as a way to be more elaborate and intentional with their guests, since there are less of them. Whichever route you opt for, I recommend that you do what feels most natural. Intimate weddings especially are an opportunity to show off who you are - you have a unique opportunity to inject your own personality into the proceedings.
Pick a unique venue that suits you. With your smaller guest list, it’s often easier to get into more unique venues like bed and breakfasts, museums, art galleries and restaurants.
Benefits of an intimate wedding
Take advantage of the closer-knit social environment. Because you will be able to spend at least some time with your guests, they will feel more at home at your wedding. As such, get your guests involved. Be intentional with them. Sit down and exchange stories. Do some fun activities. You’ll have more opportunities to mingle, as will your guests with each other.
Intimate weddings give you a chance to make more memories, and they also allow you to breathe and relax a bit more. They don’t require as much planning, plus you’ll be surrounded by your closest friends and loved ones, which will take some pressure of you. Your wedding will feel more like a celebration with close-knit friends and family, than a production. Make your wedding one that people will remember forever.
